Hey, I'm Rachel

From ABCs to SATs

Our youngest, Cali, graduated from our homeschool at age 17 with an associate degree. At 19, she graduated from TCU, and she's currently in graduate school for Clinical Mental Health.

Jordan is our oldest. She graduated from our homeschool at age 18 with an Esthetician license. She's now on her way to a business degree for Human Resources.

Hey, I'm Rachel

And everything brings me back to that, as my supreme desire. I see more and more that I must be myself — what I want my children to be” — Elizabeth Prentiss

Blessed wife, New York Times bestselling author, 16-year veteran homeschool mom, and transformation coach. I'm also a certified Motions of the Soul iEnneagram Practitioner, blending Harmony wisdom, Ignatian spirituality, and trauma-informed formation – and I'm currently in a two-year Spiritual Direction certification.

I'm a real-talk, pray-with-you-in-the-Target-aisle kind of girl—equal parts sparkly pen, Enneagram Seven enthusiasm, and deep soul work. My passion is helping women rediscover joy, identity, and connection, especially when life feels messy, loud, or somewhere in-between.

I believe in presence over perfection, grace over guilt, voicing the story, and taking that teeny-tiny pinkie-toe step forward (even if it trembles). God meets us in the real, not the curated.

You may not control every chapter — but you can choose how you show up inside it. And I'm here to help you do it with joy, faith, and a little humor — while ignoring the pile of dishes in the sink.

I'm a blessed wife, mom, New York Times bestselling author, and 16-year homeschool vet turned life and education coach.

I'm a real talk, pray-with-you-in-the-Target-aisle type girl. I'm also a total Enneagram Seven, so consider me your crown-straightening cheerleader with a sparkly pen.

My passion is helping women build lives of true joy and connection—while recovering the sparkle buried under laundry and later.

I believe in grace and a sense of humor when life goes sideways.

In leading with love, meeting the roar, voicing the story, and taking that teeny-tiny, pinkie-toe next step (even if it's shaky).

We can't control every chapter — but we can choose how we show up to create it. So let’s do so with grateful joy — while pretending neither of us see the dishes piled up in the sink.

The Story Behind REstory

Once upon a time, a little girl who loved writing half-finished stories about love and adventure thought she’d create stories for Hollywood.

At LSU, I majored in procrastination and Mass Communications, hosting and producing television shows for our campus channel. That led to a magical internship at Entertainment Tonight in NYC…where I quickly discovered fast-paced glam actually wasn’t my brand of Happily Ever After.

Luckily, I came home and met the man who is on a double date (with other people—we switched halfway through). While we'd somehow managed to remember completely wrong names for each other, we still decided to become official the very next day.

Thus began a whole new kind of adventure.

For two decades, we built the life I wrote about in those childhood half-finished tales— one filled with love, family, faith, laughter, and way too many library fines.

My real-life HEA inspired me to write, complete (!!), and publish 11 novels, hitting the New York Times and USA Today bestseller lists and introducing me to readers around the world. But my greatest joy has always been my family.

Between crawfish boils, kitchen dance parties, and countless museum visits, we homeschooled our two beautiful girls, and I count it a blessing to have witnessed and been present for so much of their lives.

But then came the plot twist: Empty Nest.

Cue the record scratch.

“Wait… who am I if not Mom?”

That’s when I realized I’d spent years shining a light on everyone else’s stories while hiding pieces of my own.

God used that season of discomfort to remind me of the daughter He'd created, unlike the woman I'd created in response to the world. He also whispered an important truth: my joy, curiosity, and creativity aren’t flaws — they're fingerprints of His design.

Real talk? I wasted years wishing away my joy, fearing childlike came across as childishespecially in Christian circles. I wanted to be seen as having a 'gentle, quiet spirit,' which I'd grown to believe was somehow a requirement of a good Christian woman.

Now, through ReStory Studio, I help moms from starter-nest to empty-nest unmask their true selves, rewrite the narratives that keep them small, and reclaim peace, purpose, and play — right where they are.

What I Believe...

Family. Kingdom Identity. Joy. Story. Legacy.

God IS Joy. He's honored when we play, dance, and giggle.

Stories heal. Being vulnerable helps others find the courage to share their story, too.

Life is an exciting treasure hunt, filled with hidden chances to live our purpose—and God's glittering fingerprints will guide us if we look.

Legacy lives in the little things. Every laugh, meal, and memory count.

Children are a love-gift from God—and they teach us as much as we teach them.

Marriage is the ultimate ride—butterfly thrills & scary dips. My best advice? Always have each other's back. Forgive so you can be forgiven. Never ever stop flirting.

I live with acute awareness of my faults & failings, which makes Divine grace so incredible.

Fully known and radically accepted, I’m called to put on Christ and spread the Gospel, extending love and compassion to others—not play their Holy Spirit.

Trusting God to be God, I choose to fix crowns, speak life, and be a safe, welcoming space for ALL His sons and daughters.

Which includes extending love and compassion to myself, too.

Behind my Frameworks

I coach and teach using frameworks that feel like an exhale rather than a shiny checklist.

I'm a certified Motions of the soul iEnneagram Practitioner — which is a beautiful blend of Harmony Enneagram wisdom, Ignatian spirituality, and trauma-informed spiritual formation. And because God keeps pulling me deeper, I'm currently completing a two-year Spiritual Direction certification program. This season of training is shaping me to companion women in a slow, sacred, deeply grounded way that honors their story, honors their season, and honors the Spirit who leads us both.

The Harmony Bloom Pathway™ is my signature framework behind all my coaching and courses—a faith-filled rhythm for personal transformation that uniquely combines contemplative practice, emotional intelligence, practical psychology, my deep love for Scripture and female heroes of the faith, along with expert knowledge of story-structure, into a gentle, embodied approach to transformation.

For Personal Transformation, my Harmony Bloom Cycle™, Still-Know-Grow™ Tool, Faith-Without-Performance Continuum™, and Run Toward the Roar Scale™ are techniques used to explore how freedom looks a lot like authenticity without apology.

Some days we use Ignatian Spiritual exercises, others we explore how story structure and psychotherapy techniques can remind us who and Whose we are as we travel through five seasons of growth— Root, Soul, Call, Transition, and Legacy—using my simple, three-part rhythm S.E.E. Method™ to anchor learning in joyful, practical action.

For Homeschool and Family Legacy, my ReStory Unit Study Framework™, Joy Schooling Pillars™, Wonder in Action™ outlook, and Curiosity Catcher Toolkit™ are methods we use to transform chaos into confidence, fear into faith, and worry into wonder.

Together, we build anchors, rhythms, and a learning lifestyle that fits your unique, beautiful family, sparks excitement in your children, and empowers you to homeschool well—and have fun, too.

I use proven and practical tools for real women living real lives.

No highlight reels or shiny perfection here.

But that's good, because friend, that's where the real magic lives.

I believe in the sacred shimmer of everyday, ordinary life.

The kind of magic found in sticky hugs, snort-laughter, good shoulder cries, and the glittery spark that appears every time we dare to choose presence and permission over perfection.

The mess is where the miracle lives—and that's the real magic.

Clearly, I practice what I preach.

But who has time for clean hotel rooms when traveling??

Real Moms. Real Mess. Real Magic.
