In our family, we sing our prayers, text-speak in GIFs, and always commit to the bit.
We're a close bunch. Homeschooling brought us even closer. My dad taught our homeschool P.E., Mom joined us for physics, and my brother taught music theory. My husband took us around the world so our girls could experience what they learned, and his mom hosted 'Camp Mimi.'
Inside jokes are plentiful. Traditions are honored and milestones celebrated loudly, joyfully, and uniquely.
Hard work is a given.
Jordan is our oldest. She graduated from our homeschool with an esthetician's license and is now getting her bachelors degree in business. Cali, our youngest, graduated from our homeschool at age 16 with an associate degree earned through dual credit, and graduated from TCU Cum Laude at age 19. She's pursuing a graduate degree in clinical mental health.
Multi-generational impact, family connection, igniting a lifetime love of learning, and creating a legacy of joy aren't just topics I speak and write about—they are values I live.

Once upon a time, a little girl who loved writing half-finished stories about love and adventure thought she’d create stories for Hollywood.
At LSU, I majored in procrastination and Mass Communications, hosting and producing television shows for our campus channel. That led to a magical internship at Entertainment Tonight in NYC…where I quickly discovered fast-paced glam actually wasn’t my brand of Happily Ever After.
Luckily, I came home and met the man who is on a double date (with other people—we switched halfway through). While we'd somehow managed to remember completely wrong names for each other, we still decided to become official the very next day.
Thus began a whole new kind of adventure.
For two decades, we built the life I wrote about in those childhood half-finished tales— one filled with love, family, faith, laughter, and way too many library fines.
My real-life HEA inspired me to write, complete (!!), and publish 11 novels, hitting the New York Times and USA Today bestseller lists and introducing me to readers around the world. But my greatest joy has always been my family.
Between crawfish boils, kitchen dance parties, and countless museum visits, we homeschooled our two beautiful girls for sixteen years, and I count it a blessing to have witnessed and been present for so much of their lives.
But then came the plot twist: Empty Nest.
Cue the record scratch.
“Wait… who am I if not Mom?”
That’s when I realized I’d spent years shining a light on everyone else’s stories while hiding pieces of my own.
God used that season of discomfort to remind me of the daughter He'd created, unlike the woman I'd created in response to the world. He also whispered an important truth: my joy, curiosity, and creativity aren’t flaws — they're fingerprints of His design.
Real talk? I wasted years wishing away my joy, fearing childlike came across as childish—especially in Christian circles. I wanted to be seen as having a 'gentle, quiet spirit,' which I'd grown to believe was somehow a requirement of a good Christian woman.
Now, through ReStory Studio, I help moms from starter-nest to empty-nest unmask their true selves, rewrite the narratives that keep them small, and reclaim peace, purpose, and play — right where they are.

God IS Joy. He's honored when we play, dance, and giggle.
Stories heal. Being vulnerable helps others find the courage to share their story, too.
Life is an exciting treasure hunt, filled with hidden chances to live our purpose—and God's glittering fingerprints will guide us if we look.
Legacy lives in the little things. Every laugh, meal, and memory count.
Children are a love-gift from God—and they teach us as much as we teach them.
Marriage is the ultimate ride—butterfly thrills & scary dips. My best advice? Always have each other's back. Forgive so you can be forgiven. Never ever stop flirting.
I live with acute awareness of my faults & failings, which makes Divine grace so incredible.
Fully known and radically accepted, I’m called to put on Christ and spread the Gospel, extending love and compassion to others—not play their Holy Spirit.
Trusting God to be God, I choose to fix crowns, speak life, and be a safe, welcoming space for ALL His sons and daughters.
This includes extending love and compassion to myself, too.
I use a variety of proprietary frameworks, methods, and tools that are practical and proven for real life, rather than a shiny, soundbite-worthy checklist.
I'm a certified Motions of the Soul iEnneagram Practitioner, trained in Harmony Enneagram wisdom, Ignatian spirituality, and trauma-informed spiritual formation.
I'm currently enrolled in advanced training for whole-system coaching that blends vision, gift development, internal influences, and IFS parts-informed work to help support women as they learn to live in alignment.
The Harmony Bloom Pathway™, and ReStory ARC™ are my signature frameworks that uniquely combine contemplative practice, emotional intelligence, practical psychology, my deep love for Scripture and female heroes of the faith, along with expert knowledge of story-structure, into a grounded, embodied approach to personal transformation.
Legacy of Learning™ is my signature framework and system of tools for homeschool and family legacy. Together, we reframe the vision, restore rhythm, reignite curiosity, and anchor the legacy, creating a family culture that is personal, powerful, and prioritizes what truly matters.
I don't do highlight reels.
No pretense or expectation of shiny perfection.
I use real talk for real women, the kind that knows life is filled with highs and lows and messy middles.
But friend...
that's where the real magic lives.
I believe in the sacred shimmer of everyday, ordinary life.
The kind of magic found in sticky hugs, snort-laughter, good shoulder cries, and the glittery spark that appears every time we dare to choose presence and permission over perfection.
The mess is where the miracle lives—and that's the real magic.
Clearly, I practice what I preach.
But who has time for clean hotel rooms when traveling??
