Rediscover What You LOVE

Lost Yourself in Midlife? Rediscover What You LOVE

July 11, 20263 min read

Quick question, and don’t overthink it: what do you love?

If you just went a little blank — or started answering with what you’re supposed to like — you’re exactly who this week’s episode is for. Because you can rattle off everyone else’s favorites without blinking. Their orders, their comfort shows, their snacks. But your own? Somewhere in the years of taking care of everybody, that list went quiet.

Here’s what I know: you can’t reclaim a self you never bothered to notice. And nothing reintroduces you to you faster than what delights you. Your joys aren’t fluff — they’re breadcrumbs back to the woman you actually are.

In the new episode I walk you through the Favorite Things List — three little moves you can do on the back of a receipt — plus a peek at my own list (bougainvillea pink, boat rides at sunset, and the sun rays I call glimpses of heaven).

Your pinkie-toe step this week: write five favorite things, and reclaim just one. Wear the color. Twirl in the kitchen. Eat the good chocolate slowly, for no reason except that you love it.

You didn't lose yourself — you just stopped noticing what you love. Reclaim your joy—along with the YOU that has gone missing in your life, relationships, and home

If you're a woman over 40 who can rattle off everyone else's favorites but goes blank on her own, this episode is your fastest map back. We start with the one question most of us haven't asked since we were kids — what do you love? — and I walk you through the simple Favorite Things List that reintroduces you to the woman you've been too busy to know.

If you've been feeling lost in midlife, foggy about who you are anymore, stuck, joyless, hopeless, or like you disappeared somewhere in the years of taking care of everyone else, this is a fun, easy way to find yourself again — one delight at a time.
